Finally someone has said it out loud: Shannyn is not getting the attention she deserves. Her role in The Holiday was an insult - although I'm sure she was well-paid for it. Sometimes she gets a part where her job is to walk around looking sexy, which is absurd for an actress with her talent. Some of her scenes in The Heavy were brilliant, especially when Gary Strecth came back to search the apartment. The look of dismay on her face when Gary asked if he could look around was priceless! If I did not know any better I might think the industry is mad at her for taking time off at the high point of her career to raise her child. I hope I am wrong, but it has crossed my mind. I think her relationship with Monte Hellman is a good omen. I have heard that she might make several movies for him. I hope it is true. One or more of them would surely go over at the box office. I am fairly confident that Road To Nowhere will find some sort of a market ... but what happened to The Man Without A Head? I have heard nothing except that it debuted at a film festival.

Man Without A Head premiered in LA to a good crowd. If it got a distributor it'd be another independent classic in my humble (completely unbiased) opinion. Some of the rapport between her character and Johnny Roc's character was so brilliant and witty, you'd absolutely wonder WHY hollywood hasn't given her more to work with. As far as Road To Nowhere goes it's finally premiering in the US at the Palm Springs Film Festival on Jan 15th. I might be heading out to see this one if I can convince a friend of mine to join me - it's only an hour out from where I live, so I'll let you know how that is and if it's going to get some mass distribution.

Nevertheless, I'm with you all in this to get Shannyn in more films!
