Not yet famous but unforgettably alluring. Noticed by chance when she was a DJ at Gwenyth Paltrow's birthday bash, now Sannyn Sossamon is in Venice to present "Road to Nowhere"
The legend in Hollywood would like her to be dj-ing for Gwyneth Paltrow's b'day one night, and cast in the super hot movie A Knight's Tale, with the young Heath Ledger.
"Yeah, sounds naive and cliche, but that's exactely what happened to me. I loved doing the club, scratching and mixing records, it gave me power over anyone. They would move to what I'd picked."
Beautiful, exoteric - part Hawaiian, Dutch, French, Irish, Philipino and German - aknowledge that beauty was the first stepping stone to her launch. After Knight's Tale and 40 Day & 40 Night, she was ready to take Hollywood by storm, when... she had a baby, Audio Science Clayton and went to work in a record music store.
"I wanted to learn everything that there was about music, so no regrets. I am grateful to be here at the Venice Film Festival in Venice. I was here before to visit a dear friend. The feeling you get from the city is incredible and strange at the same time. Don't know why really. Love it. I love to travel because I feel like I'm truly a part of this earth in a bigger sense. I understand my place on this earth more when im travelling. I feel stuck when I can only be in one home".
"About The Road to Nowhere, the producer of the film, Steven Gaydos came up to me when I was taking a lunch break from my acting class and told me about this film being directed by Monte Hellman. I read the script and met with Monte the next day. We both felt it was right from about minute 2. I have found it to be very difficult to deal with and understand the hollywood establishment. It always felt very forced to me".
"However, its a part of the bigger picture. I am getting better because it is worth being able to carry out my visions. I'm happier when I don't fight it. I have not worked very much since i had my son Audio, and not always by choice I must admit, so my mother/hollywood experience has been not very hollywood at all. The pressures however, of having an up-and-down job where you never know when your next paycheck is coming can be quite stressful for a mother. I've been lucky and have had help from my family and friends during the harder times."
BEAUTY QUESTIONS...
How long is your daily beauty routine? About 4 minutes
Do you often go to beauty parlour? I go to the korean spa alot. Not so much the beauty parlor.
Have you ever considered to ask help to surgery? I've never ever considered getting a boob job! I'd feel like there were alien invaders in my chest. I am always trying to use different herbs and foods on my face to prevent wrinkles! Just because I wouldnt use plastic surgery doesnt mean I don't want to preserve beauty. Id like to be as natural as possible for as long as possible. Who knows when I'm sixty.
What is your personal concept of beauty? Inner beauty is confidence in oneself, compassion and love for others. Inner beauty is the only beauty possible for a human being.
Is aging something that frightens you? I dont like to be frightened of aging too much because it will just make me age faster!
If I sneak in your bag, what beauty tools do I find? You'll find Nars Morocco lipstick, a couple tubes, and lotion.
Do you exercise? I should exercise more. I am very lazy with this area.
How do you see yourself twenty years from now? I see myself with more children and much more relaxed.
Do you follow any particular diet? I try to eat organic as much as possible but sometimes i slip. Thank goodness. How boring if I didnt.
We know that american actresses hate sunbathing? What's your opinion about it? I dont like the sun but Im trying to. Its good for your head and the vitamin D. But I dont like the way my skin feels when its burning. Maybe its the Los Angeles sun only. I have felt better in other countries suns, or the sun of the american south.
Which the fragrance do you prefer? What is your relatioship with the fragrances? I use oils from Young Living World. I use essential oils only. They vary every day.
Which is the part off your body that you love and the one you hate? No comment. Im trying to love my whole body.everything from http://www.vogue.it/en/beauty/beauty-icons/2010/09/shannyn-sossamonYeah! also from Vogue http://www.vogue.it/en/magazine/l-uomo-vogue/2010/09/shannyn-sossamon
